IN THE VINEYARD
I n agronomic management, Ca’ Stelle applies organic cultivation programs with low environmental impact with a significant reduction in the amount of pesticides applied. Ca' Stelle exclusively uses practice an exclusive use of targeted doses of sulphate of copper and sulfur by refusing the absolute use of pesticides and herbicides. .
Furthermore, projects for grassing up agricultural land are being tested. The goal is to preserve the integrity of the soil as much as possible, facilitating the development of humus, thus defending the presence of herbs that positively affect the vegetative development of the vine.
IN THE CELLAR
C a' Stelle uses solar-thermal panels for the production of hot water used in oenological practices. The use of the thermal boiler was thus reduced by 60%.
With the thermal insulation of the oenological systems and tanks, heat dispersions are avoided which would entail a significant increase of 60% in the consumption of electricity.
With the conversion of the lighting system to LED lamps, instead, a drop in electricity consumption of over 50% was obtained.
